Flock-Follies - New Gifts for the Garden ...
Today's featured gift is a great option for gardening enthusiasts and nature lovers. Adding to their collection of exclusive bird feeders Flock-Follies have created 'Tea-Cups', a new collection of dual purpose designs. The whimsical Tea-Cup designs provide fresh drinking water for birds by day, and a tea light lantern by night. Like all Flock-Follies garden gifts, the Tea-Cups are designed to be 'fun, funky and functional'. Tea-Cups are handmade in the UK from fine bone china, mounted on an acrylic rod. Great for attracting feathery friends into your garden, the easy-to-use Tea-Cup designs can be planted in a garden bed or plant pot, then it's just add water, float a tea light, sit back and enjoy ...
The original Flock-Follies bird feeders can also be used at night as a beautiful garden lantern. The feeders featured on the blog in November last year, click here to learn more about them.
Available to purchase online from the Flock-Follies website today's featured garden gifts are: Single Tea-Cup, £12.95; Tea-Cups Pair, £25.95; Tea-Cups Trio, £35.00 and Bird Feeders, £35.00 (available in four colours). Shop now at the Flock-Follies website.
New! Arco Greeting Cards from James Ellis ...
For our Thursday showcase we're looking at 'Arco' a brand new range of greeting cards from James Ellis. The collection of eight birthday designs have been created exclusively for James Ellis by Designer Max Ososki. Mixing typography, florals, and collage-style elements, the greeting cards have a fresh, modern feel, making them suitable for a wide age range. Each card is printed on a quality, uncoated, ivory board, which perfectly compliments the pretty graphics. My favourite element is the extra special details, including: embossing and curved corners, that highlight the designs and give the cards a luxurious, contemporary style.
The Arco collection of greeting cards retail at £2.25 each, and are available to purchase from James Ellis stockists nationwide. You can also buy the range direct from the James Ellis website.
Introducing: Quill London - A Stylish New Stationery Site ...
I always love to hear about new things, whether it's a new greeting card range, a new gift collection or a new shop launching into the card and gift world. I was therefore delighted to hear about a new website - Quill London - dedicated to bringing stylish stationery and paper goods to the masses. The Quill London website was launched this summer by self-confessed stationery obsessive Lucy Edmonds, uniting her passions for paper goods and design into one exciting venture. Keen to bring the work of little-known designers and creatives to the world, Lucy hand-picks the loveliest stationery products from across the world. The website has also created unique 'store-in-stores', with a mini Washi Tape Shop and Pompom Shop contained within the main website. Like Lucy I'm a complete stationery addict so I'm already loving the Quill London website, and I'm particularly excited to see the global ethos behind the site. The Internet is the perfect place to broaden our horizons and explore the world (even if it's virtual to begin with) and our reward is some rather fantastic stationery.
To find fab stationery, and stock up on some beautiful paper goods please visit the Quill London website. The stationery featured on today's post is: Hello letterpress notecards by In Haus Press, £12; Ampersand silk screen print, £19; Gift tag set by Lucky Bird, £6 and Notebooks by Ribbon Squirrel, £6.50. Hi everyone, I hope all our UK-based blog readers had a nice bank holiday weekend, and hello to the rest of the world - apologies for being lazy and not posting yesterday! Today's showcase is dedicated to Fizz Studio, making their first appearance on Card & Gift Blog. A family-run business, Fizz Studio was founded in 2001 by Ros Berryman, ably assisted by husband Dennis, and sons Adam and Tom. The focus of today's blog is their fabulous 'Modern Vintage' range, which has been chosen as a finalist in this year's Henries in the 'Best Photographic Range' category. It's a delightful collection of greeting cards, and I am so pleased I can share them here. Each photograph has been taken by Ros with her vintage camera, using a Ttv (through the viewfinder) effect. I love the distinct look that is created with the images, which combines a bright contemporary feel with an authentic vintage style ...

The Modern Vintage greeting cards retail at £1.99; there are 12 designs in the range. All of the cards in the Fizz Studio collection are printed in the UK, utilising sustainable materials. New! British Bird Collection by Fay's Studio ...
Today's post is our last peek into the card and gift world before the long bank holiday weekend (back to blogging on Tuesday). To celebrate the British bank holiday tradition we're taking a look at the new 'British Bird Collection' from Fay's Studio. A wonderful study of beautiful birds, recreated in delicate, hand-drawn illustrations. The range is a personal project for Designer Fay Martin. Last year Fay lost her family dog, a huge part of the family who had been with her since her 12th birthday. In his memory, Fay decided to install a huge bird feeder in the garden. Since then Fay and her family have become keen bird watchers, and love to see the different birds enjoying the feeder. All the feathery visitors gave Fay the perfect opportunity to do some sketching, and soon a card range was born ...
Each greeting card is printed on an FSC approved, heavyweight watercolour board, embossed and matched with an Eco-friendly Kraft envelope. The range is different to Fay's usual design style, but equally appealing. There are ten cards in the collection, retailing at £2.65; for more information please visit the Fay's Studio website.
Great New Greetings Cards from Windsor and Woolf ...
It's an exciting time of year here in the UK as the greetings card and gift industry prepares for the Autumn trade shows. I am hoping that I will get enough time to visit one or two of the big shows, and find lots of fabulous new cards and gifts to share on the blog. One of the exhibitors I will be looking out for at this year's Autumn Fair (held at the NEC in Birmingham) is Windsor and Woolf. They've been kind enough to share a sneak peek of the new ranges they will be exhibiting at the show, and I can't wait to see them in person. The Windsor and Woolf team have been fantastically busy adding to their collection and there is an extensive number of new designs, for today's post I've picked a top ten of my favourites from the Monochrome, Baroque and Tattoo ranges. As you can probably guess the first images are from Monochrome, which celebrates British iconography through the eyes of the 1970's punk scene ...
Baroque is a collection inspired by 17th century furniture catalogues and oppulent flower-filled rooms. I love how the text has been incorporated into the designs ...
The Tattoo collection is a range inspired by vintage naval tattoos. I love the fun, frivolous feel of the greeting cards ...
Windsor and Woolf will be exhibiting the new additions to their greetings card collection at this year's Autumn Fair, stand 4A06 - don't forget to pop by if you're attending the show. For those of you unable to make it to Birmingham, please visit the Windsor and Woolf website for more information.
